The studio was fully
fitted to broadcast standard.
It comprises of a
Soundcraft RM105 mixing desk, the
flight deck of the whole studio.
There are three Denon DN-C635 CD
players, three Tascam MD-350
Mini-Disc players, three microphones
for the presenter and guests, options
to bring in IRN News every hour, put
telephone calls on air and a computer
driven system for additional music
choices, which doubles up as an
automated service when no presenter
is on air.
It has been designed to
be mainly one person operated. They
load up the music to play, operate
the equipment and control the show.
There is room to seat a couple of
guests for interview but it is mainly
the one presenter who will be in the
studio itself.
The studio can operate
24 hours a day, to provide an
overnight service that still
identified as the local station.
There were adverts,
which help to cover the cost of
putting the station on air and
licensing. We would like to work with
local businesses to develop an
ongoing relationship in this area.
